In 1982, actress Dominique Dunne was poised for major Hollywood stardom after starring in the box office smash, Poltergeist.
However, behind the scenes, Dominique is caught in the web of a violent relationship with her abusive boyfriend, a sous chef by the name of John Thomas Sweeney.
When Dominque breaks things off for good with John, he just can’t take no for an answer. And when he shows up at her house on Halloween Eve, determined to convince her to give him another chance, Dominique steps outside to talk to him.
It would be the last thing she would ever do.Â
